Meetup Schedule (6:30 PM – 8:30 PM)

6:30 PM – 6:45 PM: Arrival & Free Chat

  • Meet on 9th Floor near Elevator

  • Arrive and chat freely. 

  • I will hand out name tags. (Optional) W ear a name tag with your name and a language you can teach.

6:45 PM – 7:10 PM: Quarter 1 (English Practice)

  • We will move to the outdoor balcony if the weather is nice

  • English speakers will split up

  • English learners will join an English speaker to form small groups. Start practicing as soon as you have a group.

  • I will hand out a Language Flag for each foreign language.

7:10 PM – 7:35 PM: Quarter 2 (Foreign Language Practice)

  • Group around the language flags for a language you can teach.
    If someone is holding an “Español” flag, everyone who can teach Spanish should form a group there.

  • English speakers will walk around and join the flag of the language they want to learn.

  • If no learners join you, please join another group you can teach.
    If you are unable to teach, join a group you can learn with.

7:35 PM – 8:00 PM: Quarter 3 (English Practice)

  • Switch back to English!

  • English learners will find a new English speaker to practice with.

  • Do not go back to the same person you practiced with earlier.

8:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Quarter 4 (Foreign Language Practice)

  • We switch back to the Language Flags for the final 30 minutes.

  • Find a new partner or group to practice your target language.
